Corporate Responsibility

At Legacy, we conduct our business with integrity, adhering to the highest performance and ethical standards. We make our business decisions in a responsible manner, addressing environmental and social concerns and respecting community values and stakeholder interests. We endeavor to protect our environment and our people, safeguarding the health and wellbeing of employees, contractors and community residents.

We believe in making a difference in our community. We are active supporters of local initiatives, programs and events. Volunteerism is encouraged, and many of our employees and executives generously contribute their time and talents to a variety of charities and organizations.

In 2011 Legacy, through the sale of water rights to the Town of Okotoks, created The Legacy Community Foundation aimed at promoting community based projects surrounding our operating centers in Southern Alberta targeting Education, Health and Wellbeing, Sport and Recreation, and the Environment. The Foundation's goal will be to distribute the $1,000,000 fund to qualifying projects brought forward over a five year period. The Foundation and the Advisory Committee made up of members from the communities we operate, contributed $92,000 to initiatives brought forward by local community groups in the last half of 2011, including:
